A delightful, detached stone built cottage located in an idyllic woodland position on the edge of the Gwydir Forest and just 300 yards from Gwydir Castle, within the Snowdonia National Park. The cottage enjoys over three hundred years of history and retains many original features including two foot thick stone walls, inglenook fireplaces and beamed ceilings. It has recently been sympathetically modernised to an extremely high standard and provides every modern comfort. There are 3 bedrooms: 2 x double (one with en-suite WC and washbasin), 1 x twin. Modern bathroom with shower over bath (ground floor). Well equipped modern fitted kitchen with utility/boot room off. Delightful beamed sitting/dining room with inglenook fireplace, window seats and log burning stove. Visitors will also enjoy the sunny garden and the sound of nearby waterfalls. Betws-y-Coed, with its many amenities, is only three miles away. About the area: Llanrwst 5 miles; Betws-y-Coed 3 miles; Blaenau Ffestiniog 11 miles. Betws-y-Coed is North Wales' most popular inland resort. Surrounded by woodland and magnificent mountains, this is a true haven for walkers. At Betws-y-Coed the River Conwy meets three tributaries flowing from the west, and the stunning area is enhanced by cascading waterfalls, river pools and old bridges. Most famous of them is the magnificent Swallow Falls, located where the Llugwy River hurls itself into a spectacular chasm. The village has all amenities such as shops, pubs and places to eat and is home to The Snowdonia National Park Visitor Centre.
