This property is set on a 17th Century Lakeland hill farm (Brunt Knott Farm) in a wonderful hillside position in the lovely Kentmere Valley, halfway between Kendal and Lake Windermere. The village offers an excellent range of amenities such as a variety of shops, a craft shop, three pubs and a Railway Station. From the village's famous bike shop there is cycle hire available, whilst the whole area offers superb walking opportunities. Nearby, the busy towns of Windermere and Ambleside are renowned with visitors, offering a range of amenities to suit every taste. Lake Windermere offers boat trips, and a ferry to the Lakeside Aquarium and Grizedale Forest Park. Enjoy a fascinating collection of boats at the 'Windermere Steamboat Museum' displays, whilst children will love the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness, where technology actually brings her characters to life.
