Just 3 miles away from popular Llanberis is this superb stone built cottage in a peaceful hillside location. It has been lovingly restored and refurbished by the owner, the property has been finished to a very high standard, and provides split-level accommodation as practical as it is beautiful. The cottage has two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin. Bathroom with bath (shower over), basin & WC. Well-equipped fitted kitchen with granite worktops and steps up to dining room. Cosy sitting room with slate floor and woodburning stove. Attractive sun room with view towards Snowdon. All of the lakeside amenities of Llanberis are only a short drive away, making this an ideal retreat at any time of the year. About the area: Llanberis 3 miles; Caernarfon 7 miles; Bangor 10 miles; Betws-y-Coed 17 miles. Dominated by the grandeur of the Snowdon Massif, Llanberis is in between two lakes, Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris. Llanberis is actually something of a 'mecca' for walkers and climbers, it is the starting point for the ascent of Snowdon - the highest mountain in England and Wales. The ascent can be made by train, the Snowdon Mountain Railway, or along one of the many walking routes to the summit. Every year, major racing events attract thousands to the area: The fast 'Snowdon Race' to the summit, held in July every year and The Snowdonia Marathon, held in October - a challenging 6 mile course that starts and finishes in Llanberis, circumnavigating the Snowdon Massif.
