This is a first floor apartment in the superb renovated wing of the former Stoneycroft Hotel, located in the Newlands Valley, 1 mile from Braithwaite. Decorated and furnished to a high standard, this is the ideal base to return to at the end of the day, where you can just relax on the balcony and take in the spectacular views. There is one double bedroom (can be made up as twins on request). Bathroom with bath & shower over, WC and basin. Open plan living area with well equipped kitchen, dining area, access to balcony & sitting area with feature fireplace & living flame gas fire. Within easy reach are Skiddaw, Helvellyn and Catbells, or enjoy one of the walks right from the back door (such as Newlands Round or Coledale Round). Keswick is only 3 miles away. This truly is a great location for walking, touring or just getting away from it all. About the area: Keswick 3 miles. Braithwaite lies in between the stunning northern lakes of Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite. Still retaining plenty of its traditional appeal, the Coledale Beck runs through the village with whitewashed Lakeland cottages, two shops and two real ale Inns brimming with character! Bassenthwaite Lake is one of the most picturesque places in all of England. There really is something for everyone, from a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw. Mirehouse - a grand house and gardens with an open-air theatre is well worth a visit, along with Trotters Farm and Dodd Wood. Derwentwater and Keswick with their wide ranges of attractions are also within easy reach. Amenities: Full oil fired central heating, gas fire in sitting room.
