A delightful end of terrace traditional Lakeland property, situated a short walk away from the heart of Ambleside. Full of character and charm, this former bobbin maker's cottage is hidden away in a secluded position with superb views of the local fells, such as Wansfell Pike. The cottage is furnished in a cosy, traditional style, and offers comfortable, well equipped accommodation over three floors. Sitting at the northern tip of Lake Windermere and with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley only a short drive away, the cottage is perfectly placed for touring the Lake District. There are brilliant walks from the doorstep while boat trips and watersports can be enjoyed at Lake Windermere. Also well worth visiting is the historic town of Ambleside. About the area: Windermere 4 miles; Keswick 15 miles. Ambleside sits on the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England's largest lake, and makes an excellent base for touring the central Lakes with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley a short drive away. There is lots to do here - boat trips, cruises and watersports on Lake Windermere and plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead there is a short stretch of beach for you to enjoy, whilst a stroll in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will take you to the spectacular waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Apart from the Lake and the superb walking on offer, Ambleside is also renowned for its yearly rushbearing ceremony and the 17th Century 'Bridge House' and is one of the most photographed buildings in the whole of the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
