A superb detached stone built farmhouse boasting exposed beams, a large conservatory and two sitting rooms, providing quality accommodation and a wonderful base for large groups. Ddol Helyg is one of two properties that are located in the grounds of the owners' 30 acre Equestrian centre, on the edge of the village of Llanrug, just 2 miles from the Snowdonian town of Llanberis. About the area: Llanberis 3 miles; Caernarfon 4 miles; Betws-y-Coed 15 miles. Llanrug is a quaint village with a shop and 2 pubs located in the foothills of the Snowdonia Mountain Range, just 3 miles from famous Llanberis. Dominated by the presence of the Snowdon Massif, Llanberis is flanked by two lakes, Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris, and is one of the most renowned mountain tourist centres in the Snowdonia National Park. Llanberis is something of a 'mecca' for walkers and climbers, being the starting point for the ascent of Snowdon which is the highest mountain in England and Wales. The ascent can be made either by the Snowdonia Mountain Railway, train or on foot along one of the different routes to the summit. Llanberis also offers excellent places to eat, drink and a great variety of shopping. Only 4 miles from Llanrug, on the coast, is Caernarfon with its amazing 13th century castle and town walls and close by are National Trust properties at Penrhyn and Plas Newydd and plenty of wonderful beaches Amenities: Full oil central heating .
