A superb, 19th century, stone built, detached cottage, located in the owner's grounds in a quiet and peaceful countryside location on the outskirts of the hamlet of Pentir, in between the busy university city of Bangor and the renowned market town of Llanberis. Providing ideal accommodation for couples, the property is comfortable and well equipped. All ground floor. There is one double bedroom. Bathroom with bath, shower over bath, WC and basin. Living room with French windows to raised decked area leading to lawned garden with patio perfect for dining alfresco and enjoying the views of Anglesey and Penrhyn Castle. This modern, retreat is close to a lovely woodland, a scenic cycle trail, the beautiful Ogwen Valley and has all of Snowdonia on its door step. Take a ride on the lakeside railway at Llanberis, enjoy a tranquil boat trip or just 4 miles away at the base of Mount Snowdon. This is a pefect, relaxing base! About the area: Llanberis 4 miles; Bangor 4 miles. Pentir is a scattered hamlet with a brilliant pub, placed on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park in between the famous town of Llanberis and the University City of Bangor. Llanberis has many excellent places to eat and drink, very good shopping, and is dominated by the grandeur of the Snowdon Massif. It is famous for walkers and climbers, as it is the starting point for the ascent of Snowdon, the highest mountain in England and Wales. The ascent can be made either by foot along one of the many routes to the summit or on the Snowdonia Mountain Railway. Only 7 miles from Llanberis, on the coast, is Caernarfon with its amazing Castle and town walls and close by are National Trust properties at Penrhyn and Plas Newydd. With Anglesey and all of North Wales coastline nearby, this is an excellent holiday destination. Amenities: Wall mounted electric fires in each room.
