An beautiful stone-built, mid-terrace cottage, located in the heart of Snowdonia National Park in the sleepy village of Cwm Penmachno, only 8 miles from Betws-y-Coed. Situated amidst the rolling hills of the Machno Valley with a magnificent mountain backdrop, this former Quarryman's cottage provides comfortable, cosy accommodation with exposed wood flooring, original beams and views of the mountains. There are two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin. Bathroom with Victorian roll top bath, WC and basin. Fitted kitchen. Utility room. Dining room. Sitting room with open fire. The surrounding area has many pretty walks including Conwy Waterfall nearby, and the delightful Betws-y-Coed, home to Snowdonia's visitor centre and a fantastic golf course which should not to be missed! With many mountain, forest and riverside walks, as well as great bird watching opportunities, brilliant fishing and a famous mountain bike centre all near by, this lovely cottage makes an ideal retreat! About the area: Betws-y-Coed 8 miles. The scattered, sleepy village of Cwm Penmachno is located in the stunning Machno Valley, only 8 miles from the renowned town of Betws-y-Coed. Surrounded by thick woodland, amazing mountains and flowing rivers, the area is a true haven for walkers, mountain bikers, birdwatchers and climbers, whilst Betws-y-Coed itself provides a wide range of shops, pubs and cafes. Here the River Conwy meets its three tributaries making a host of cascading waterfalls and river pools throughout the countryside, the most famous is the magnificent waterfall at Swallow Falls, located where the River Llugwy meets with a phenomenal chasm creating a sight that must not be missed! With the whole of Snowdonia to explore and the North Wales' Heritage Coastlines also nearby, this beautiful spot is perfect for either outdoor activities or a quiet 'away from it all' holiday any time of the year!
