A superb, stone built cottage, set on the outskirts of the tiny hamlet of Manod, just 2 miles from the town of Blaenau Ffestiniog. Renovated successfully in a contemporary style, but still retaining much original character, this 18th Century quality cottage offers two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x double with 4' wide bed. There are beautiful views of the Manod Mawr and Bach Mountains, and the hidden Manod Lake passes directly opposite, providing lovely scenic walks. There are many outdoor pursuits to enjoy, such as climbing and canoeing at Plas y Brenin National Mountain Centre, or explore the magnificent slate caverns at Bleanau Ffestiniog. This is the perfect holiday retreat all year round. About the area: Manod is located between Manod and Moelwyn mountains close to the centre of Snowdonia National Park. The town is placed in an elevated, natural bowl in this mountainous region, has a wide variety of shops and pubs, but is most renowned for its tourist attractions. One of the old quarries is now the famous Llechwedd Slate Cavern, or there is the hydroelectric power station and famous narrow gauge Ffestiniog Railway providing great trips through the spectacular countryside. Enjoy super walks and bike trails, climbing at the Plas y Brenin National Mountain Centre, beautiful sandy beaches, golf, great fishing, or visit the delightful Betws-y-Coed.
