In a great position for walking, cycling (the National Cycle Route is within 60 yards of the cottages), fishing or water sports, there is also easy access to a variety of wonderful beaches at Criccieth, Morfa Bychan and the beautiful Lleyn Peninsula. This is a superb base to explore this magnificent area. About the area: Criccieth is often known as the 'pearl of Wales on the shores of Snowdonia', this delightful seaside town is located 5 miles from Porthmadog. The town's 13th century castle is set majestically on a rocky outcrop, dominating the skyline and providing stunning views of Tremadog Bay and the Snowdonia mountains. There are two beaches which will delight watersports enthusiasts, whilst walkers and bikers have plenty of choices due to the proximity of the beautiful Snowdonia National Park. Take a relaxing stroll along the beaches, watch porpoises playing, or relax and wind down in the various restaurants, tearooms and pubs.
