This property makes for an ideal base for exploring this magnificent area of Wales. About the area: Golden Grove is a small village in Carmarthenshire, set in the unspoilt and peaceful countryside of the Towy Valley. Closeby is Gelli Aur Country Park with a 20-acre deer park, a 10 acre rhododendron garden and stunning nature trails. The magnificent Dinefwr Castle and National Botanical Gardens are only a short drive away, as is the Llandeilo with its quaint shops, tea rooms, restaurants and pubs. You should not mis the market town of Carmarthen - legend to be the birthplace of Merlin, the famous wizard of King Arthur - from here the only steam standard gauge railway in the South West and Wales can takes you on a journey through the Gwili valley, this is only a 15 mile journey away. This whole area is the perfect base for leisure and outdoor activities, such as fishing for seatrout and salmon, horse riding, walking and cycling and golf.
