A traditional, brick built cottage set in the small village of Frongoch, less than 3 miles away from the delightful town of Bala, and Llyn Tegid, Bala's famous lake. Decorated and furnished, the cottage provides comfortable accommodation. There are two bedrooms: 1 x twin, 1 x single. Bathroom with bath with shower over, WC and basin. Ground floor WC. Fitted kitchen. Drying room. Cosy sitting room with open fire and dining area. A pleasant garden, ideal for relaxing. 10 minutes' walk away is the renowned National Whitewater Centre, with pre-booked sessions of canoeing and rafting, and the magnificent scenery at Lake Celyn at only 20 minutes' walk from the cottage. Bala has plenty to offer including many shops, restaurants and pubs, as well as a leisure centre, golf course and the stunning lake with a narrow gauge railway. Enjoy walking, cycling and climbing in the nearby Aran and Arenig mountains or a little further afield to medieval castles, slate caverns and superb beaches. About the area: The small village of Frongoch is ideally situated between the magnificent lakes of Bala and Celyn, and is surrounded by the Arenig Mountains. The village has a little shop with cafe, and is famous for the National Whitewater Centre on the River Tryweryn, just 10 minutes walk away. Bala is just under 3 miles away, set at the head of Llyn Tegid, Bala's renowned lake, being the largest natural lake in Wales and residence to a unique fish called named the Gwyniaid, a real relic of the Ice Age. Famous as a centre for superb watersports, including fishing, canoeing, sailing, windsurfing & white water rafting, the headquarters of the narrow gauge Bala Lake Railway is also here. The town has a good range of interesting shops, restaurants, inns and an historical Town Walk. Surrounded by the beautiful Snowdonia Mountain on one side and on the other the magnificent Range Berwyn Mountains, this is a true mecca for walking, climbing, mountain biking and plenty of other outdoor activities.
