A cosy cottage on the outskirts of Pontyberem, just 9 miles from Carmarthen. This peaceful retreat is well-equipped and comfortable, offering traditional accommodation. There are two bedrooms: 1 x ground floor double, 1 x twin. Ground floor bathroom with bath, WC and basin & WC. Fitted kitchen with breakfast area. Sitting room with electric fire. Note: Stairs to first floor open directly into twin bedroom. The cottage overlooks open countryside to the front, and has a garden to the rear, perfect for relaxing. The village offers shops, a small supermarket and a pub. Within an easy drive away is the market town of Carmarthen, with a cinema, theatre and restaurants. Straight from the door there are scenic walks, and just a few miles away you can join the Celtic Trail - a traffic free cycle path through magnificent scenery along the beautiful Welsh coastline. A perfect base for an unforgettable family holiday. About the area: A superb village just 9 miles from Carmarthen, providing a pub, post office, small supermarket, pharmacy, baker's and many takeaways. Pembrey Park which is close by, with its vast sandy beach and dry ski slope is perfect for a day of fun or just relaxation. Carmarthen offers various shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes, as well as a theatre and cinema. Visit Merlin's Hill Centre, loaded with history and shrouded in mystery, legend has it that Merlin lies imprisoned inside the hill. Within an hours drive is the famous Boat House of Dylan Thomas at Laugharne, the wonderful sandy beaches, the many castles and museums to explore, National Botanic Gardens, the famous Gwili Steam Railway or the Wetland Centre.
