It was built in the 19th century and has recently been refurbished by the owners, this stone built, end-terrace cottage offers comfortable, cosy and warm accommodation. There are two bedrooms: 1 x kingsize, 1 x adult bunk (6'6' x 2'6'). Ground floor bathroom with bath, separate shower, WC and basin. Well equipped kitchen with walk-in pantry and dining area. Charming, bright sitting room with multi fuel stove. Only five minutes' drive from Northumberland's impressive National Park, fifteen minutes' to the old market town of Alnwick with its majestic Norman castle and garden, and 25 minutes away from the stunning Heritage Coast, this really is an ideal base for exploring all that the region has to offer. About the area: Alnwick 9 miles; Rothbury 10 miles; Wooler 9 miles. Powburn is a quaint pretty Northumberland village situated at the foothills of the Cheviots and surrounded by magnificent countryside. The village offers a shop and pub and a wider range of amenities are available nearby in the county town of Alnwick. Powburn makes a perfect base for exploring the Northumberland National Park, Alnwick and its imposing castle (known to millions as Hogwarts School in Harry Potter!) and the majestic (new) castle gardens. Within easy reach are the stunning coastline, the lovely small town of Rothbury and the renonwed National Trust country house and gardens at Cragside.
