This charming end terrace cottage is located in an elevated position on the edge of the town of Milnthorpe, with scenic views over the countryside and coast. The cottage is comfortable, warm and snug and has been decorated and furnished to a high standard. There are two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin. Bathroom with bath with shower over, WC and basin. Fully equipped kitchen/diner. Cosy sitting room with flame effect electric fire. The town centre is a short walk away, with a good range of restaurants and pubs, whilst Kendal, Lake Windermere, Coniston Water and parts of the northern Dales are all within easy reach. Providing first class holiday accommodation, this is the ideal base for touring the Lakes and nearby coastline. About the area: Arnside 3 miles; Kendal 7 miles. Milnthorpe was once a significant medieval market town, located in the South Lakes in-between Kendal and Carnforth, only a few miles from the seaside village of Arnside. Reminders all of the towns history can found amongst the narrow lanes and historic buildings, which speak of a time when a coach and four was more common than a four-wheel drive. Resting on lovely rolling countryside, the surrounding area has plenty to offer, with the Lakeland Wildlife Oasis offering a tropical hall and butterfly house. Dallam Tower and Levens Hall (historic and beautiful stately homes with their deer parks, topiary and ornamental gardens) offer a great day out for visitors. Within easy reach are Leighton Hall, Sizergh Castle, the Great Lakes Aquarium, Windermere and Grizedale Forest and are all well worth a visit. From pretty limestone pavements and superb woodland walks to beaches and scenic coastal paths, there truly is something for everyone.
