Sited close to the South Esk River, this quality cottage has been decorated with charisma and style to give comfortable, well-equipped accommodation, with roomy open plan living areas, three lovely bedrooms (with a spiral staircase to the first floor bedroom) and shared access to the owners' indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi and sauna. An ideal base for touring Edinburgh, Stirling, St. Andrews and even the Highlands! About the area: Kirriemuir is a beautiful red sandstone town in the valley of Strathmore, known as the gateway to the Angus Glens, which has some of Scotland's most unspoiled landscape. The town is home to the birthplace of novelist JM Barrie, creator of the well known children's character Peter Pan, and whose house is now a museum looked after by the National Trust for Scotland. A statue of Peter Pan can be found in the town. Kirriemuir also has an Aviation Museum, Glamis Castle and the historic Pictish Stones at Meigle, whilst the Angus Glens offers great hill walking and climbing.
