A stone built, detached dormer bungalow, only 5 minutes from the promenade in the beautiful coastal resort of Arnside. It has been lovingly refurbished and offers light and airy accommodation. This superb property offers ground floor access to the large rear garden, which, whilst quite steep, extends about fifty metres up the hillside and has fantastic views of the Lakeland fells and countryside. The resort of Arnside has a good range of restaurants, pubs and excellent fishing, while the golf course at Silverdale is a delight. Arnside Knott is nearby, Grange-over-Sands and the South Lakeland coast are easily accessible from the local railway station. This is a perfect base for touring the Lake District, Northern Dales and Southern Cumbria. About the area: Kendal 10 miles; Windermere 17 miles. Situated on the southernmost tip of the Lake District is the coastal resort of Arnside, set in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Low limestone hills, marshy plains and deciduous woodlands make up the surrounding land. This former fishing port has still has lots of features from its past. The fantastic pier and port areas offer beautiful views across the Kent Estuary. To the south of the village stand the 15th Century Peel Towers, constructed to defend against the marauding Scots. The local area is a real nature lover's paradise, due to the stunning limestone pavements and scenic woodland walks through countryside home to rare plants, trees and wildlife. Just one mile away is the internationally famous Leighton Moss RSPB Reserve. Guided walks across the Kent Estuary are on offer, showing the magnificence of the shore and surrounding area.
