This is an attractive stone built cottage, quietly set on the edge of the village of Longframlington. The cottage was awarded 'Silver' in the North Eastern Tourism Awards 2006 and is furnished and equipped to a very high standard. There are two double bedrooms, each with additional single bed and ensuite wet room with two-way shower, WC and basin. Spacious open-plan living area with fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting area with welcoming open fire. Guests are welcome to use the owner's on-site health club, which has a heated indoor swimming pool, a gymnasium, steam rooms and a 9 hole pitch-and-put golf course. Within easy reach you can enjoy a leisurely afternoon exploring the chocolate box hill town of Rothbury, which is home to the National Trust's Cragside House and Park, or tour the Northumberland National Park. This is an ideal retreat for a relaxing holiday. About the area: Rothbury 5 miles; Alnwick 6 miles. The village of Longframlington rests at the heart of Northumberland, in between the Cheviots and the stunning coast and offers great access to a wide range of superb walking opportunities. Brinkburn Priory is a pleasant, short drive away - a restored Augustinian Priory in a lovely setting beside the River Coquet. Only 10 minutes drive to the west is the attractive National Trust's Cragside House and Gardens, whilst just a 15 minute drive to the east is the Heritage Coast offering miles of clean sandy beaches. The historic town of Alnwick, with its majestic Castle and Garden, is just 6 miles to the north and is definitely worth a visit. With the magnificent National Park also within easy reach, this base is perfect for exploring Northumberland or just taking a relaxing break!
