Located on the Dorset/Somerset border on the rural outskirts of the charming village of Henstridge, these three single storey cottages have been skilfully converted to offer comfortable, well-equipped accommodation, boasting views from the rear across the beautiful, surrounding countryside and stylish wet room showers (ideal for the less able). The cottages provide the ideal base from which to explore the area and all it has to offer, with lovely walks and great fishing nearby, whilst quaint villages, the ancient towns of Sherborne and Shaftesbury, Longleat Safari Park and National Trust properties such as Montecute and Stourhead House are all easily accessible. A little further away lies the wildlife park at Cricket St Thomas, the Haynes Motor Museum, the cathedral city of Salisbury, Stonehenge and even the Dorset Jurassic Coast, a sight not to be missed! A great touring base at any time of year! About the area: Sherborne 7 miles; Shaftesbury 10 miles. The little village of Henstridge can be found on the border of Somerset and Dorset, at the head of the lush Blackmore Vale, used as the backdrop to Thomas Hardy's Tess of the D'Urbervilles. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, Henstridge is well served by a shop, pubs, restaurants and a cafe and offers lovely walks accompanied by pretty views. The village is ideally located for exploring Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire, as within a short drive lies the historic town of Sherborne, famous for its abbey and castles, and once home to Sir Walter Raleigh. Nearby are a wealth of National Trust properties, such as Stourhead House and Gardens, while the nearby hilltop town of Shaftesbury, best known for the picturesque Gold Hill, is also well worth a visit.
