This is a traditional brick cottage located in the bustling town of Whitstable, just 5 miles from Herne Bay. The entire property is furnished and decorated in a fresh modern style, and the painted floorboards give it a truly beach hut feel. There are three bedrooms: 2 x double, 1 x single with additional roll-out mattress. Bathroom with bath with shower over, WC and basin. Open plan living area with modern fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Note: There is an open staircase with single handrail leading to first floor. Well equipped and comfortable, the cottage is ideal for families and couples, with the seafront just 2 minutes away, there are excellent coastal walks from the doorstep, and a good choice of coffee shops, eateries and bars in the surrounding area. Towns such as Canterbury and the countryside of the North Downs are within easy reach. This is a great spot for experiencing the fashionable coastal lifestyle. About the area: Herne Bay 5 miles; Canterbury 7 miles. The vibrant town of Whitstable, known as the 'Pearl of Kent', dates back to before the Domesday Book. Its seaside location makes it perfect for watersports all year round, and in July every year its fishing heritage is reflected by the Oyster Festival. The local museum/art gallery introduces around six new exhibitions every year, and has an excellent coffee shop. Whitstable Castle dates back to the 1790's, and has events all year including a big May Day celebration with contributions from local artists and musicians. The town itself is home to a small independent brewery, and any need for some retail therapy will be satisfied by the wide range of both national stores and charming, independent shops. Just 7 miles away is the city of Canterbury, with its beautiful 6th century cathedral; also nearby is Herne Bay. Amenities: Full gas central heating.
