The University town of Aberystwyth, set on the west coast of Wales, with a good variety of shops, restaurants, tea rooms, pubs, cinema, museums, the National Library of Wales and an attractive promenade on the sea front. The scenic 20 mile footpath and cycle route on the Ystwyth Trail, linking Aberystwyth to Tregaron, follows a spectacular woodland and river. Visit the Devil's Bridge and the falls by taking an enjoyable trip on the Steam Railway from Aberystwyth. Just 7 miles away is the seaside resort of Borth, with 3 miles of sandy beach and the 'Animalarium'. Close by are the cliff-top ruins of Aberystwyth castle, craft centres and magnificent countryside to explore. This is the perfect base for a family holiday.
