About the area: The village of Halford, enjoys a peaceful setting on the Fosse Way, in the rural south Warwickshire countryside, with good access to a variety of delightful market towns and villages in the heart of England. Just a short drive away is the small market town of Shipston-on-Stour boasting many shops, pubs and restaurants, together with a picturesque 17th Century church. Just 8 miles away is Stratford-upon-Avon, with its Shakespeare's house, Ann Hathaway's cottage and famous theatres and monuments. Warwick's medieval castle and the remains of Kenilworth Castle are nearby, as is the elegant Royal Leamington Spa. Visit the charming towns and villages of the Cotswolds where you can explore places that have remained unchanged for centuries. Within easy reach are Chipping Campden, Stow on the Wold, Broadway and Bourton on the Water, just to name a few.
