Bordered by lush, green countryside, is this delightful, stone built, semi detached cottage situated in the yard of a former farm, just 4.5 miles from Newquay. It provides a quiet and friendly retreat from the livelier action found along the coast. The outside space is great with a small patio area, as well as a larger garden area, perfect for an evening stroll. Guests are invited to collect fresh eggs for breakfast. The living area is open-plan, with well-equipped kitchen, dining and sitting areas and slate flooring throughout. With two bedrooms, one with king-size bed, the other with a single bed and an additional futon sofa-bed, it offers flexibility of accommodation. The area is awash with attractive villages and traditional pubs, while the coast boasts magnificent cliff-top walks and good surfing. Nearby, is Newquay holiday resort with attractions like Newquay Zoo, Dairyland and the Sea Life Centre. Close by is the Eden Project, Padstow fishing port and Cornwall's capital, Truro. About the area: Set back from the coast, close to the popular resort of Newquay is Crantock, a small Cornish village. This is the place to be if you want to escape the crowds, yet still be close to the action. With stunning countryside all around and lots of pretty villages to explore; however, it is the coast that dominates. Enjoy magnificent walks along the coastal path over dramatic cliff-tops, or good surfing on beaches that stretch from Watergate Bay in the north to Fistral beach in the centre of Newquay and on down the coast. There are a number of golf courses in the area, National Trust properties, traditional pubs and outstanding restaurants. with a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as attractions such as the Sea Life Centre, Newquay Zoo and nearby Dairyland and Eden Project, Newquay itself is a visitor's paradise.
