You can stroll to the harbour from here to watch the fishing boats come in or board a ferry across the bay to Fowey,and sample the many shops, pubs and restaurants that Mevagissey has to offer. Walk the amazing coastal path over the cliff-tops or drive the short distance to the nearby Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan or the renowned gardens of the beautiful Roseland Peninsula and fabulous beaches. About the area: With winding cobbled streets and a harbour full of boats, makes this the perfect Cornish fishing village. With stunning walks leading along the coast in both directions,with sandy beaches, high cliffs and hidden coves to explore. There is an excellent selection of pubs and restaurants, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan just up the road. A ferry from Mevagissey to Fowey runs daily between Easter and September. Spend some time among the tropical biomes of the world famous Eden Project (11 miles) or at the Tall Ships harbour at Charlestown (7 miles) with its fish smokery and shipwreck museum. Just a short drive down is the stunning coastline, fabulous beaches and renowned gardens of the beautiful Roseland Peninsula ,while Truro, with its shops, restaurants, theatre and cathedral can be reached by car in half an hour.
