This is a wonderful, stone built cottage, located in the grounds of a former country house. Set on the outskirts of Witherslack, just 9 miles from Kendal. Furnished and decorated to a high standard, this former farm hand's cottage has a wealth of charm and character. There is one spacious double bedroom with super kingsize zip and link bed (can be made into twin on request). Bathroom with bath with shower over, WC and basin. Fitted kitchen with dining area. Cosy sitting room with a charming woodburning stove. The surrounding area offers great walking opportunities with a nature reserve nearby not to be missed, whilst the village of Lindale and Cartmel are both worth a visit. With Lake Windermere nearby and the coastal resorts of Arnside and Grange-over-Sands within easy reach, this superb romantic retreat has plenty to offer. Amenities: Storage heaters throughout with additional heating from woodburning stove in sitting room. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, colour TV with basic Freeview, DVD, radio/CD player etc. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen & towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair available. Ample off road parking. Lockable bike storage. Small walled garden with garden furniture and BBQ. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry no smoking.
