This is a traditional Lakeland semi-detached cottage, located in a central position in the attractive village of Bassenthwaite. Dating back to 1745, the cottage still retains a great deal of character, with simple and comfortable accommodation. There are three bedrooms: 2 x double, 1 x single. Bathroom with bath with shower attachment, WC and basin. Kitchen with exposed beams and dining area. Spacious sitting room. Storage room for coats and boots. Note: The spiral staircase is quite steep. The amenities of the village (including the local pub) are on the doorstep. Bassenthwaite itself is perfectly situated for exploring the Lakes and surrounding areas, such as fell walking, fishing, pony trekking or golf, not to mention simply relaxing and taking in the breathtaking scenery of the National Park and beyond. Amenities: LPG fired central heating. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge, washing machine, colour TV with Free-sat. Gas and electricity inc. in rent. Bed linen inc. in rent. Travel cot available. Ample parking to rear of property. One well behaved pet welcome. Shop (open Easter to October) 1 mile, other shops 8 miles, quiet pub (stocking basic groceries) opposite property.
