This is a beautiful 18th Century stone built terraced cottage, situated on the village green of Linton, one of the most stunning villages in the Dales. Lovingly restored by the current owners, this cottage is delightful, with Yorkstone flags, aged timber floors and exposed beams offering distinctive first class accommodation. It has a warm and cosy sitting room with open fire in a feature stone fireplace and a dining room with French windows which lead to a secluded Yorkstone flagged rear patio. There are three bedrooms: 1 x King-size double, 1 x twin, 1 x single. The bathroom has bateau bath with ball & claw feet, separate power shower cubicle, basin & WC, and there is also a ground floor cloakroom with basin & WC. Fitted shaker style kitchen. This property is in a fabulous location, only yards away from one of the best gourmet pubs in the area. Centrally located in this stunning part of the National Park, there are beautiful walks from the doorstep, while popular Grassington is nearby, with its wide selection of shops, pubs, art galleries and the annual Summer Festival. In the upper Wharfedale community, Linton is one of the most exceptional villages The ancient Linton Beck runs through the village with crossings by packhorse bridges, stepping-stones and fords. Dated from the 17th and 18th Century, the stone houses are scattered around the central green, and at the head of this village stands an architectural work of art, the Fountaine Hospital, founded in 1721. The village is served by the Fountaine Inn, with a good reputation for exceptional beers and food, together with its welcoming atmosphere. This is a wonderful walking are, being close to Linton Falls on the River Wharfe, with numerous paths to other villages, and easy access to the limestone fells. The haunting Abbey ruins and Priory at Bolton Abbey, or the elegant town of Ilkley, overlooked by the renown Ilkley Moor are all down dale, up dale are Kettlewell and Buckden, with magnificent limestone scenery. Linton is a wonderful base for discovering the local area, with the market town of Skipton and its medieval castle just a short drive away, and numerous other historic places, including Bronte Country, Castle Howard, the lovely spa town of Harrogate, racing at Ripon and the stately medieval city of York within easy motoring distance.
