Close to the centre of the attractive village of Thornton-le-Dale in 'Heartbeat' country, but in a quiet location, is an immaculate, detached stone built house. The property has been decorated, furnished and equipped to a very high standard, offering very comfortable and spacious accommodation. There are three bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin, 1 x single; a bathroom with shower over bath, hand basin and WC, with an extra downstairs WC. The kitchen/dining room is large and well equipped. This cottage provides something a bit special for the discerning visitor, and is the perfect base for exploring the North York Moors National Park. Two miles to the east of Pickering, within The North York Moors National Park, lies the delightful village of Thornton-le-Dale. The villages charm comes from its complicated shape, an amazing jumble of streams, paths and pretty houses with a lovely village green which has retained its wooden stocks and a market cross. The village offers a variety of shops, pubs and tearooms. Pickering, the nearby market town, provides a wide range of amenities and the famous North York Moors Steam Railway. Surrounding the village there are broad fields and views to the south across the Vale of Pickering, while to the north lies the Forestry Commission's Dalby Forest, offering several wonderful nature trails to be enjoyed. Within driving distance, a little further afield, are the East Coast and The City of York.
