The famous Bronte sisters lived in the small village of Haworth, whose inspiring moorland stirred them to pen their novels, the classics of English Literature. The village that time almost forgot, Haworth is a myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets, all creating a magnificent period atmosphere. This is all amongst the backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel, Wuthering Heights, as wild, rugged and barren. Close by is the famous Worth Valley Railway, a genuine steam railway brought to fame in the film 'The Railway Children', which provides a beautiful day out with a regular service to the old village of Oxenhope. This is an area abounding with popular places to visit, not forgetting the Bronte Parsonage museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the Museum of Rail.
