Activities

For small groups of people we can organize guided visits to the olive oil mills and to wine cellars, where you can sample their products; cooking courses to learn to use the oil and wine in local dishes; Italian language courses; excursions and other activities in collaboration with sporting associations (trekking with mules, biking tours, rafting). There are also bicycles for the use of guests; near La Palombaia there is a good cycle track from Spoleto to Assisi and many other country or mountain paths.

The excellent position

Poreta is 12 kilometres from Spoleto, famous for its Festival of two Worlds, 2 kilometres from the Clitunno Springs, and is easily reached from the main Flaminia road with a distance of 2 kilometres. It makes an ideal base for further exploration of surrounding cultural centres in Umbria and in the other regions of the centre of Italy: Orvieto (fifty minutes), Assisi (thirty minutes), Perugia (forty minutes), Siena, Cortona and Arezzo (1 hour and twenty minutes), Rome (two hours by the car; 1 hour and thirty minutes by the train), Florence (two hours and thirty minutes by the car; less than 3 hours by the train).
