Photos and Description of this Bozeman holiday house
Gorgeous home located at the Gallatin River Ranch - a great getaway!
Brief Description: Mossy Rock Ranch is nestled in the hills at the north end of the Gallatin Valley, with Mountain and valley views all around. Because of the layout of the home (master suite at one end of the home and the three other bedrooms in a separate wing), this home could be a romantic retreat for two or a great home base for a crowd. With a wonderful patio that has an adobe fireplace and a hot tub, it’s a great home for relaxing and entertaining.
Bedrooms and baths: The home has three bedrooms, and two and a half baths. Each bedroom has its own TV. The master suite is just off the living room and has it’s own fireplace, glass doors to the deck, and a very cool bathroom with a large glass shower, and a sunken tub with views out to the hillside. There’s a long hallway leading from the master suite to the guest wing. This wing has two bedrooms. On the main level there is a bedroom with one queen bed and upstairs there is a wonderfully private room with a queen and its own rooftop patio. The TV room has a queen size and a twin size futon for more sleeping space. It also has a TV with Satellite, VCR and a DVD player. These three sleeping areas share a full bath on the main level.
Kitchen: A real chef’s kitchen awaits you! It’s set about four steps above the living room and dining area and overlooks the action below. With high quality appliances and every kitchen “extra" we can think of, this kitchen will keep your cook happy.
Dining area: There’s a dining area with doors to the patio that will seat eight comfortably. And in good weather you’ll want to move the party out to the inviting patio to enjoy the views.
Living room: The cozy living room, opens to the kitchen dining areas and a bank of windows overlooking the valley below. With exposed beams and rounded doorways, you might think you’re in Santa Fe. There’s a wonderfully comfy wrap around sofa set, a large rock fireplace made of rocks hand chosen from the ranch, and a 50" HD TV. It’s a great place to hang out!
Office: There is a small office if you need to get away from the group to do some work while you are away. There is also a twin sleeper sofa for flexible sleeping arrangements.
Setting, acreage, and views: Mossy Rock Ranch sits on 20 private acres within the 6,000 acre Gallatin River Ranch, a well planned residential ranch with very well spaced home sites and thousands of acres of open space. With dramatic rock ridges and sweeping views of the Gallatin Valley and surrounding mountain ranges, it’s a spectacular spot.
Outdoor Amenities: A huge wrap around flagstone patio, Mexican style fireplace, gas BBQ, lots of outdoor seating and a hottub built into the hillside. It’s a great yard! Guests can walk for miles on the ranch, enjoying views and the wildlife.
Activities nearby: Besides hiking right from the house, a great stretch of the Gallatin River is just a short distance away. Hardy guests can hike down to it, or it’s a 5 minute drive. From the home enjoy daytrips into Bozeman, rafting, mountain hiking, whitewater rafting or a trip to Yellowstone (less than 2 hours away).
