Our house is a Maison de Village, typical of the houses in the area. It is built on three floors of stone, though with a concrete rendering. This construction makes the house relatively cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
It is a terraced house with no garden, though in this area this is not too much of a problem since there are many areas in the village to sit out. We have a total of three bedrooms, two twin bedded rooms on the second floor and a single room on the ground floor with its own wash basin. In addition on the ground floor there is a small garage, hall and untility room, which has a washing machine and butler sink.
The lounge, on the first floor is well equipped with a Satellite/Terrestial TV and a video, a three piece suite, audio unit, plenty of books in the book shelf. Also on this floor there is a compact kitchen with a gas stove, microwave grill/oven, fridge/freezer, toaster and coffee maker.
There is also an eating area in next to a patio window, which when open makes this area into a sort of interior balcony. There is also a W/C on this floor.
On the second floor there are the two bedrooms, as described with built in wardrobes. There is also a second W/C and separate to this there is quite a large shower room.
Various windows in the roof make this house appear light and airy. We have tried to equip it to the highest standards and believe that we have succeeded in making it a 'home from home'. Many of our clients, a lot of whom make repeat visits appear to concur with this. We are also finding success in bookings whereby people, who wish to purchase property in the area want to stay, especially over the winter period. Under such circumstances we have reduced rates.
