Step back into a time of romance, movie stars, and parties in this early California hacienda. In the 1950’s, when in town for golf and tennis holidays, director George Cukor and friend Katherine Hepburn were rumored to have often vacationed in this glamorous estate. In 2007 the six-bedroom hacienda went through an extensive restoration with additions and is now full of Spanish charm blended with modern amenities, luxurious appointments, and tranquil retreats.

Revel in this sumptuous six bedroom estate with approximately 5,500 square feet of indoor living on a large lot completely walled and gated. With lush landscape, clay tile roof, multi-arched breezeway, and exterior in coral-rose hues, this Spanish home exudes calmness upon entering.

The rotunda entry to the home is the perfect welcome with antiquities of an English pine display-cabinet, antler chandelier, and two Portuguese leather hall-chairs to the row of French doors. The home is full of eclectic and unique displays and pieces, such as a large wood French grain-thrasher imbedded with stone, which was once used to cut wheat as dragged by a farm horse. Original charm abounds with vaulted wood-beamed ceilings and traditional pavers throughout. The warmth of the great room with Spanish inspired hearth and comfortable seating features a large untitled contemporary oil painting by Italian artist, Stefano Spagnoli (1982), two modern flat screen TV’s and a fireplace.

An 18th Century tapestry embroidered with gold and silver threads is found on the wall in the adjacent formal dining room. A large travertine dining table from South America and antique Indo-Chinese cabinet grace this room. A French country-style kitchen, fully equipped with modern appliances and cutting board countertops is perfect for creating culinary cuisine. An outdoor BBQ area and patio is accessible from the kitchen for dining al fresco in lush landscape surroundings.

The hacienda includes a romantic master-suite with a cozy fireplace and picture window of Mount San Jacinto. The master bathroom with many spa qualities features an indoor and outdoor shower. A guest suite also with luxurious appointments and spa bathroom features a private whirlpool tub with lush landscape views. Both suites have access to an outdoor spa. Two additional uniquely-styled bedrooms are also available in the main house. Across the breezeway from the main house is a two bedroom casita with common sitting area and wet bar.

Wind through the impressive grounds featuring lush mature vines, palms, and fruit trees all with stunning mountain views. The pool terrace has a large upper deck cabana which is reminiscent of old Hollywood.
