The self catering apartment is on the top (2nd floor) of an old traditional building and therefore is not overlooked & has stunning views. It consists of 3 good size bedrooms; 2 fully equipped bathrooms & a superb lounge/diner/kitchen. The air conditioning ensures that the temperature is cool in summer & warm in winter. The garden offers plenty of space & catches the late afternoon sun. In a romantic setting, watch the sun rise over the sea & the mountains in front of you, and set behind those at the rear. Look across to Kotor Old Town 0.4 miles across the bay (10-12 mins walk), and listen to the Cathedral bells chime on the wind. Watch the boats & cruise liners reach the very furthest point of the fjord. Look left along the fjord for a view you will photograph many times as the light of day constantly changes. A very handy small grocery shop is on the ground floor. TV; Radio/CD/cassette player, board games. Kitchen has everything you are likely to need. Buses stop near apartment

The Boka Kotorska fjord is the southernmost in Europe & affords stunning views from any position around its 50km coastline. Climb the twisting mountain roads high above the fjord for the most dramatic, and see across to the Adriatic Coast toward Budva. The coastline is stunning but inland it is even more beautiful & dramatic. Explore the mountain ranges, ravines; canyons; gorges; forests; sea; beaches; birds & wildlife. Two relaxing weeks spent in Muo

We have just come back from two excellent weeks in Muo where we stayed at this apartment. Don't be put off by the view of the apartment from outside - it is a great place to stay and the balcony was certainly our favourite watching the comings and goings of the various yachts and cruise ships.

The apartment itself has everything you could wish for for our family of 5. Although other trips mention problems with water supply we had only one half hour in two weeks when the water supply stopped.

The area itself is great for exploring and we found our own favourite spots including the tiny village of Rosa and exploring the hairy roads and tracks in the mountains. Perhaps our favourite was a boat trip from Kotor onboard the Mongibella leaving at 9/.00 a.m. and returning at 20..00. This took in a swim in a cave, time on a beach and a visit to the beautiful church near Perala. It also takes you past the Navy base with a submarine lurking nearby.

Lastly we must mention the shop below the apartment. The ladies running this were always incredibly helpful to us and talked as best they could about the different produce. We enjoyed fresh bread each morning at about 40p a loaf and of course the cheap beer e1.44 for 2 litres and wine e1.26 for 1 litre (although this was the cheapest and some of the better stuff was clearly much more).


All of us really enjoyed the water - always a pleasant temperature to swim in at this time of year and incredible views of multi coloured fish is you like snorkelling.
Owner's Response: The town water supply shotages are no longer likely to cause future guests any concern due to improvements having been made.
The all day boat trip is excellent value at just 12 euro per person.
The shop makes the self catering option at our apartment so easy. Short of something? then take the few steps downstairs and you have it! nice and fresh!
Albatross1 and family clearly loved the holiday as we have already exchanged a lot of information regarding the exciting things they got up to.
They also found it to be an excellent area for bird watching.

A great week in the mountains

First time in Kotor London

Spacious, comfortable apartment very close to Kotor. The views from the terrace are to die for. Mountains and fjord at your feet and the colours change constantly throughout the day. There are great walks in the mountains behind Kotor and if you like jogging (or walking), the promenades that run for miles from Kotor along the fjord are among the most beautiful in the world!

Stunning Views

We (family with two children aged 11 and 13) stayed in the apartment for a week in late August 2008. We loved the location and enjoyed the amazing views (we were lucky enough to see an evening firework and light festival across the water from our balcony on the Saturday!) Enjoyed being easy walking distance from the old town which was very lively with excellent, good value restaurants. We were so impressed with Montenegro - a really undiscovered area for us and a real find. The children enjoyed swimming with the fish in the fjords and we enjoyed picturesque seaside villages such as Rose, breathtaking car drives up into the mountains (ie to the mausoleum) and an exhausting but satisfying walk to the fort in Kotor. Lots to see and do for a week in beautiful weather in the summer. The apartment was simply furnished but met all our needs and was beautifully cool in the heat (very effective air conditioning.) Water cuts/low water pressure seems pretty standard in the summer but a more powerful shower would have been appreciated when washing off that salty sea water! Would happily recommend apartment and Montenegro to friends. Owner very helpful. His recommendations combined with advice written in the guestbook kept in the flat were invaluable in helping us make the most of our week.

A place with character and location

We had a good holdiay in the apartment, the real advantage is that it is well within walking distance of Kotor and a short and cheap taxi ride home.

We stayed in November and were transfixed by the views across the fjord both by day and illuminated at night by the Kotor wall lights. It was an excellent location to explore around the fjord which has no shortage of beautiful towns and harbours to visit.

The apartment has a shop underneath which makes it easy to get food and supplies although the shop owner did take exception to our parking in front of the shop. Parking can be tricky on that narrow road and the road is suprisingly busy both day and night.

The apartment was very cold for November and hard to heat the main living area although the bedrooms warmed up nicely. However the landlord agreed to refund us for extra blankets we had to buy. In the summer though I imagine the apartment will be lovely and cool.

The lounge kitchen is a good size with very comfortable sofas. all three bedrooms were very comfortable although the sheets didn't seem to fit the bed in the main bedroom so well.


The apartment has lots of character and has been really well refurbished still keepling a great deal of its ethnic charm. There is an interesting photo album of the changes made to the
apartment.

The water pressure was very low, this may have been because we were out of season but it took a long time to fill the bath and almost impossible to shower.

These are niggles not complaints, and the character and feel and views from the apartment more than compensate for the inconviences inside.

We would return to this apartment and would recomend it as an excellent base to explore Kotor and the surrounding area
We are a family of five with 3 children under 8 and it suited us well.
