Photos and Description of this Cote d'Or holiday cottage Ancient two bedroom house on the hills of Burgundy

Our holiday cottage is situated in the highest part of the little village Ecorsaint (Cote d'Or/Burgundy). It borders a wooded , rocky slope which explains its name 'Sous les Roches'. The house dates back many centuries, but has been completely renovated over the last couple of years. Most of its authentic elements have been preserved. The house, garden and terrace offer a beautiful view over the valley. It's an excellent place to enjoy nature and the tranqility that surrounds you. More so, it's a fine place to start hiking through large scenic areas, or biking through the hilly landscape, picturesque villages and go sightseeing in the surroundings. In the months November till February it's also possible to rent our cottage during a longer period of time for a special reduced price. So, the cottage offers accomodation for 2 up to 4 people (with the possibility of 1 or 2 children). Notes: The house has a very cozy living room with characteristic beams and bricks. If temperatures drop in the evening (or on colder days) the woodstove can be used. The living room is equipped with a CD-player, a TV with a DVD-player (with a wide choice of movies) and a well stored bookcase. The well equipped kitchen is quite spacious and has a fridge/freezer, stove (with oven), microwave and baking machine if you like to bake your own bread. Besides a large kitchen table with chairs, there is also a baby chair. The spacious built-in garage not only provides space for the washing machine, but also for a table-tennis table. Here you also can find a barbeque, extra deck chairs to be used on the spacious terrace and two childrens' bikes. The cottage has been fully insulated and besides the woodstove it also has a CH to make sure that it is comfortable outside the summer season as well. During the course of 2009 a wireless internet system will be realized (Wifi).
