Between Villefranche de Rouergue and Limogne. Set in rolling countryside, yet only 1km from our village boulangerie, Massar is surrounded by sweeping broadleafed woodland, criss-crossed with shady lanes. Najac, Villeneuve, Figeac and Cahors are on our doorstep and horse-riding and watersports are especially popular.

The Quercy-Rouergue region where we live is a paradise for lovers of the tranquil outdoors. Walking, cycling, river watersports as well as tennis and swimming are all popular. Eating, in or out, is a notable pastime - even by French standards - as the region is the agricultural heartland of France. And restaurants are amazingly good value thanks to menus of the day and gratuities being included by law. Even seafood is a joy thanks to the famous French enthusiasm for fresh fish. The Office de Tourism locally at Villefranche is a mine of information and language is no problem.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Rates will be reduced up to 28 June 2008 and from 6 September 2008 for 2 people occupying one room - Please ask.

    We operate Saturday to Saturday (except by special arrangement) with 16.00 hrs arrivals and 10.00 hrs departures. Linen is included but we charge £5.00 per person per week if bath towels are required. We ask guests to supply their own swimming towels. An end of stay clean is included in our rental, though we do expect guests to leave both cottage and contents as tidy as they would like their own homes to be. Smoking on terrace only.

The property is one of three beautiful, newly-restored stone cottages. We live close by with our family and our aim is to create a safe and tranquil environment for all ages. The shaded, car-free courtyard is ideal for children’s play and we offer bicycles for all ages. Pets are welcome by arrangement.
