Creance is an ideal location to explore Normandy. Within 80 kms you can visit Bayeux, Caen,S t Michael's Mount and all the WW2 beaches. There are many museums our favourites being at St Mere Eglise and Arromanche. Creance plage is 2kms and is a beautiful unspoilt sandy beach. St Germain and Pirou plage are also very close and you can watch the local fishing boats going out to collect the oysters and mussells. There is good access by rail to Paris from Carentan, and ferry to Jersey from Granville. The village is on the regional nature park of the Cotentin Marshes and offers country walks and bird watching. There are markets selling fresh local grown produce around the area practically every day of the week. In the summer months their are many local festivals in August Creance hosts the annual carrot festival.

  • Visitors to depart by 10.00am on day of departure and arrive after 4.00pm on day of arrival to allow time for our changeover team to clean the house and mow the lawns ready for the our next guests. WEDNESDAY prefered as changeover day as this gives opportunity to benefit from cheaper ferry crossings but this is not essential. Non returnable 20% deposit required with the remainder 28 days before arrival. Electricity will be charged according to usage and details of costs will be provided in briefing note to visitors.

Le Coquillage (french for sea-shell) in Creances is 5mins walk from the centre of the village. There are several shops including a boulangerie,patisserie, butchers and a small supermarket. Creance is 3kms from the town of Lessay and 10 kms from La Haye du Puits where you will find a wider range of shops. From Creance you can explore a wide area of Normandy, Mont St Michel, Bayeux, Caen and all the Normandy Beaches of WW2 are a short drive. There are many local markets to wet your taste for french cheeses, pates, bread and seafood the largest being Villedieu les Poeles. There are several local restaurants specializing in local seafood (oysters and mussells). From Creance you can enjoy daytrips by train (from Carentan) or car to Paris, or boat trips to Jersey.
