There is an excellent range of rural activities locally. The owner supplies fishing rods on request also a small golf course is a short drive away. The river is also great for a dip in the heat of summer. More than anything walking and trekking is superb and, for a small payment, the owner is prepared to take / meet visitors who want to walk in the mountains. The mountain scenery and fauna and flora are wonderful. 'The surrounding scenery is awe-inspiring,' Jean, Weston-super-Mare 2005. Dermot Richardson from Dublin who went in May 2006 writes 'Add to (the warmth and hospitality of the owners) the most breathtaking countryside you could hope to encounter, and you may understand just how much we enjoyed our holiday'. The owner's wife is available to cook for visitors on request and with the trattoria next door and restaurants in the surrounding villages, there is no shortage of good eating! Children are invited to help feed the chickens every day.

    Suitable for wheelchairs in as much as the downstairs apartment is all on one level.

    Off season heating paid for directly according to use.

The cottage is divided into 2 self-contained apartments which, to ensure privacy are never rented separately. The upstairs apartment (1 double and 1 twin bedroom) is on the first floor and is entered via a pretty outside terrace as shown in the photo. The apartment on the ground floor opens directly from the lawn and has the same accomodation as upstairs. Both apartments have been restored to a high standard. Visitors can either rent the downstairs apartment as a single private unit or come as a larger group or 2 families and take the whole cottage. Please enquire for prices.
