Casa Rovigliano - traditional 17th Century farmhouse set on the Umbrian hillside between Citta di Castello and Arezzo - a real pastoral idyll. The house enjoys an elevated position on the Umbria/Tuscany border. No through traffic guarantees very peaceful rest. Rovigliano is conveniently placed, so that you can have a peaceful stay in the countryside but also enjoy the highlights of Umbria and Tuscany.  Ryanair now flies from London Stansted to Perugia. The airport of Perugia is less than 30 minutes away from our house in Rovigliano. Comfortable and inexpensive accommodation in a renovated house that retains all its original features: exposed beams, large open fireplace, terracotta floors and stone stairways.Thick stone walls keep the house cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The property has large proportioned bedrooms with high ceilings.

Rovigliano is half an hour from the galleries, churches, opera, film and jazz festivals of Perugia, Umbria's capital. Medieval towns, including Assisi, Arezzo, Gubbio are within 45 minutes drive. The closest town is Cittá di Castello (8km) with its weekly markets and a world class Jazz festival that take place in July.However, the best aspect of the region is the unspoiled countryside on either sides of the valley with few roads and villages, but thousands of hectares of natural woodland that teems with wildlife, including many rare species of birds and deer. This is a real 'get away from it all destination.

Our house comfortably sleeps 8 people in 4 bedrooms (2 double and 2 twin). There's also a sofa bed in the sitting room that can sleep 2 people if necessary. Please note that there'll be no other visitors or owners staying at the property during your visit. So, you can be renting the entire farmhouse, not just a room or two!
