Casa Torretta is the oldest farmhouse in the Comune of Paciano - it was built more than three centuries ago, and it appeared on advertising photos of this area. Its main characteristics are the “torrione”or “piccionaia” (pigeonhouse), a small, low tower on the roof, and numerous cypresses surrounding the entire farmhouse. Situated on the edge of medieval village of Paciano you will find the wonderful view of Casa Torretta. A large, luxuriously furnished apartment has all of the comfort you could desire with its own personal style. The old house was extensively restored and now combines the flair of the old with the modern. There is a garden, and private terraces. On a hill, on the edge of the medieval village of Paciano you will find Casa Torretta; a beautiful property full of history that gave the house's tower its name. The property offers many outdoor facilities, large lawns and private terraces, some of which are shaded if you wish to relax in the shade.

Many activities take place in and around Lago Trasimeno. It is Italy’s forth-largest lake measuring 22 km across in diameter with 11 individual beaches. Around the lake one can enjoy water sports, walking, cycling. The area is famous for its olive oils and home made pastas. . Excursions on foot or by bicycle pose other opportunities to enjoy the breathtaking scenery and countryside. There are 8 public bathing sites at Lake Trasimeno. From there one can take the ferry to 2 or 3 islands, go for walks or perhaps follow in the footsteps of St.Francis of Assisi on Isola Maggiore. The old town of Castiglione del Lago is located on a peninsula that juts out into the lake. There are many excellent restaurants to choose from here. Castiglione del Lago was awarded the title Cittá Slow (A special award that recognizes a high quality of life). There is a weekly market where the local gentlemen gather together and gossip while their wives leisurely shop.

  • Accommodation weeks run from Saturday to Saturday and include linen, water, electricity, and gas unless otherwise stated. Arrival times are between 4 pm – 8 pm and departure times are between 8 am – 11 am.

    The heating costs and housekeeping fees are paid directly to the landlord and are dependent on usage please be aware heating costs are expensive in Italy.

    Almost all landlords require a security deposit between 100 € and 250 €. The full balance of the deposit will be returned at the end of stay provided that the property is in the same condition as when you arrived and there are no damaged/ broken items.

The fabulous panoramic view of villages, olive groves, and Lake Trasimeno are truly breathtaking and should not be missed. Casa Torretta is divided into a large apartment Torrione sud and has been excellently restored, and is luxuriously furnished and beautiful. Many of the original wood and terracotta floors have been preserved. Modern facilities have been added combining tradition and luxury.
