Photos and Description of this Italy holiday farmhouse

The location of the Corn Flower House is fantastic. It is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves and is found at the end of a "Strada bianca" (Country lane). The apartment has two large bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has a double bed and the other has 2 singles that can be placed together if desired to make a second double bed. One of the bedrooms allows direct access to the terrace. In addition, there is a very large, comfortable living area. An arch divides the living room and dining room. In the kitchen you will find a stove with 4 electric rings and one gas burner, a refrigerator and a dining table that seats eight. In the bathroom there is a shower, a bidet, and a WC.

Also highly recommended is the Roman theatre in Gubbio, where you may retrace the steps of Francesco di Assisi, the wine Museum in Torgiano, or the famous ceramic workshops of Deruta, or you can visit Todi where you will find one of the most beautiful piazzas in Umbria. Fantastically memorable art, music, and theatre productions take place during the summer months in Gubbio, Spoleto, and Perugia. The world famous Umbrian Jazz Festival in Perugia is of course, particularly worth visiting. It is also fun to enjoy picturesque yet wild landscape of Umbria by bicycle. If you are adventurous, you may hire a bike and ride around the lake! All around Lake Trasiomeno there are endless cycle routes and all details of these are available from the tourist information office. Umbria as well as nearby Tuscany offers many great places to go on day trips. It is worth buying a good travel guide before you set off. You should also ask about regional events going on at the time.

Once you step out of the apartment door, you will find yourself in the middle of a large garden with shady trees, hammocks, swing, and outdoor furniture and a beautiful swimming pool. The location offers seclusion with all of the advantages of civilisation. Colle Umberto is 3 km away and you can take care of some of your shopping needs there. There is also a bar and a hairdresser. In Mantignana, approx. 5 km away, you will find everything else you need. The best part about this location is that Perugia, a young, lively, University city, has much to offer in the way of art and culture and is only 10 km from The Corn Flower House. Gubbio is 35 km away, as is Assisi and Lake Trasimeno is a mere 20 km away. There you can go swimming or take a boat trip to two or three of the islands. Nature Park Montezio is a great place to fly kites, Cycle, walk, or horse ride.
