Now some more from us:
The cottage sleeps four in one double and one twin (mezzanine) room. A cot and high-chair are also available free on request. La Petite Retraite has been charmingly restored and features many of its original features such as the huge Breton fireplace.
It has all the comforts of home, including a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with bath and shower, and separate WC. The living room has a VCR and satellite TV which receives English freeview channels. The cottage is stocked with games, books and videos for all ages. Outside, to the rear, there's a sunny decking area with a barbeque and wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. The local farmer's friendly cows are likely to be your closest neighbours!
To the front of the house there is a fully enclosed garden, where children can play safely. It's a charming place to watch the sun go down accompanied by a chilled glass of vin blanc.
At night, you won't believe how quiet it is. The only thing to disturb your good night's sleep will be the hoots of our local owl.
The nearest village is a mile away, where you'll find boulangeries, bars and a post-office, while just 4 miles away there's a larger town with supermarkets. La Petite Retraite is convenient for the major ferry ports of Cherbourg, Caen and St Malo, and just an hour from the airport at Dinard, a Ryanair destination.
