Recently restored to a very high standard, Cellole offers its guests three attractive cottages all furnished with antiques and with modern kitchens and bathrooms. For lovers of country walks Cellole has its own private woods with paths affording lovely views of the surrounding countryside.

Additional information about rental rates

  • In high season rental is Saturday to Saturday only with arrivals between 4pm and 7pm and departures before 10am. In low season mid week arrivals and departures are sometimes possible. Please contact the owner.

    All prices include the following: gas, electricity, water, local taxes ,end of stay cleaning. Central heating when required is payable locally. All cottages come fully supplied with all bath and bed linen sufficient for each occupant, and are changed weekly, for extra changes and maid service other than Saturday an extra charge will be made.

    Bookings should be sent accompanied by a deposit of £200 and the balance paid 8 weeks prior to arrival. Failure to pay balance entails forfeit of the deposit. Cancellation conditions upon request.

    Confirmation of booking will be sent with a map and arrival instructions of how to reach Cellole. A breakages deposit of £130 cash is payable on arrival which will be returned at the end of stay. Credit Cards

Cottage Murlo is on two floors, entering on the ground floor through glass doors from the garden is the spacious kitchen /dining /sitting room. Upstairs are two large bedrooms, one twin and one double with high beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. The bathroom is ensuite in the double bedroom, and has a bath and shower. Cottages Murlo and Polvereto can be joined making one large cottage with three double bedrooms, two bathrooms and two kitchen/ dining/sitting rooms. The kitchen has hob, oven, fridge /freezer and washing machine, electric toaster and electric kettle. Plenty of crockery, glasses, cutlery and cooking utensils. Murlo has its own patio on the lawn with a wooden table and chairs and umbrella for shade. The lawns lead to the large swimming pool, visible from the house which is furnished with loungers. There is a stone built barbecue for communal use. Geographically speaking Cellole is situated halfway between Florence and Siena, about half an hour’s drive from each.

Pisa, Lucca and Arezzo are an hour away. This is an ideal location for art and history lovers, country walks, good food and wine. This is a property suitable for an adult clientele, children under 14 years of age are not accepted.

My husband ,son and I recently spent our summer holiday in Cottage Murlo in S Andrea a Cellole. I had chosen it because the priory looked so beautiful in the pictures but when we got there the reality was even more idyllc. If I could have imagined the perfect Tuscan hideaway , this was it but more so. The priory itself is absolutely stunning , really beautiful , and each time we drove back to it I loved catching a glimpse of it on the hilltop as we drove up the little roads towards it. What I loved just as much was being in the pool and being able to look out at the views between the trees across the valley.

What I particularly liked was how private it felt. This was partly because of the location , but also because of how few guests there are there at any one time.

The cottage was absolutely charming . It had a really authentic feel to it , not just the old stone walls in the bedrooms but also the lovely Italian furniture. The bedrooms were particularly stunning where I expecially liked Maurio's artistic flourishes.

Apart from it being a beautiful place to stay , what really set it apart for us was the location. It is so well placed for sightseeing. We were able to, for example, go and have a good look around Florence or Siena in the morning and be back "home" in time for a swim in the afternoon. We visited Florence , Siena , San Giminagno , Vinci and Pisa in the time we were there without feeling we had spent half our holiday in the car.

Adela and Maurio were delightful hosts and for me struck a perfect balance between being there with advice on anything from the best way to drive into Florence and where to park , to suggestions of places to visit and restaurants to try, but also leaving us to enjoy our holiday as a family. Adela booked a local resturant for us one evening and it was fabulous , really lovely local food and not expensive.

I would absolutely recommend S Andrea a Cellole. I don't believe anyone could not be charmed by it and we certainly hope to return ourselves.

Perfect Relaxing Holiday - Beautiful Tuscany!

Chose this property after reviewing lots of others on the net in Tuscany. If you want a secluded location, ideally situated close to Siena (stunning!), Florence and San Gimignano then I'd recommend this property.

It has a lovely pool area/outdoor space and the apartments are very nicely furnished.

There's only a few apartments, so you get the pool almost to yourself - its like having your own villa in Tuscany!

Adela was an excellent host and very knowledgeable about the local area so she was very useful for tips on where to go/eat etc.

Can't wait to go back!
