Whatever your requirements, short break or long term stay at all times of the year, we hope either of our cottages The Owl or The Swallow can provide what you're looking for.

Our standards are high, each cottage provides the same first class self-catering accommodation all on ground level. Each cottage is furnished and equipped to the highest standard to provide a relaxing holiday environment in a tranquil rural location, yet less than a mile from the sea.

A well-behaved dog is welcome subject to prior arrangement.

Parents can relax knowing that the large lawns and walled garden provide a safe open space for children to play.

For your comfort our self-catering holiday cottages are fully furnished and tastefully decorated sleeping either 2+2 (The Swallows) or 4+2 (The Owl). In the event your group extends to 10 guests, access to both cottages can be linked through the courtyard. Each cottage is double glazed, centrally heated and complemented in the main sitting room with a glass fronted feature cast iron multi-fuel stove. Built around a private gravelled courtyard within the lightly wooded grounds of a fine Grade B Listed Regency Buchan former Manse dating circa.1828 the former stables and coach house have been sympathetically converted to provide two spacious and tastefully appointed self catering holiday cottages.

Each cottage is double glazed, centrally heated, and complemented in the main sitting room with a glass fronted feature cast iron multi-fuel stove.

In the main bedroom you have the choice of two single beds or a 6ft wide super-king.

All accommodation is ground level.

Everything was catered for.

"Just got home after spending a week in "The Owl". The only reason we decided to visit Scotland was that my brother-in-law married a Scottish lass and we felt duty-bound to visit. To be honest, I wasn't initially keen on "wasting" my prized annual leave on somewhere so cold and barren.

It just goes to show what ignorance can do. My wife, two young children and I, have just had a magical time! We saw some beautiful countryside, met warm, wonderful people, ate huge helpings of delicious food, felt the history and drank the whisky! But the thing that topped it all off for me was the quality of the accommodation. Everything was catered for and we felt really at home immediately. Absolutely first class...so much so we actually feel as if we've cheated a bit for paying so little!

If you're wondering about a holiday in Scotland and want to get away from the touristy haggis-and-shortbread bits, come here. It's wonderful..."

A white Christmas

"Thanks for a wonderful Christmas. The cottage was perfect down to the smallest detail. The setting was ideal for a restful recharge of the batteries, and you even managed the magic of a "White Christmas".

The entire holiday was a magical experience for us both. We have recommended the cottages to everyone we know. There were not any negatives. Perfect, perfect, perfect !!! We will be back."
