The Villa and Surroundings:
Located in the heart of the Corbieres, Villa La Cascade overlooks a range of beautiful hills that stretch north of the Spanish border and sweep inland from the Mediterranean. This is an area steeped in history and blessed with an almost perfect climate. Enjoying over 300 days of sunshine annually, the area benefits from long hot summers and brief, mild winters. Vineyards, ancient monasteries and medieval castles punctuate the landscape whilst the golden beaches of the Mediterranean are just a short drive away.
Villa La Cascade has views over the old village of Durban and its medieval castle. The village is a typically southern French affair,with a café, supermarket, bank and pharmacy, and of course the local cave cooperative. On the ground floor the villa comprises an entrance hall, fully equipped kitchen, sitting room (with Wi-Fi,iPod docking station and dvd home cinema system), cellar, guest WC and two en suite double bedrooms. Upstairs there is a double bedroom with en-suite.
The Pool & Garden:
The pool and garden provide stunning views in every direction. The villa has an outdoor kitchen complete with built in barbeque – just perfect for lazy wining and dining in the gorgeous surroundings. At the far side of the pool area is a table and chairs with wonderful views over the valley and vineyards below and the hills of Languedoc across the valley. There's comfortable garden furniture and sun loungers, an outdoor solar shower and a range of fruit trees and a number of secluded seating areas.Should you decide not to leave the garden for the duration of your stay you will not be disappointed!
Guests always remark on the beautiful views from Villa La Cascade. One of the best things about a holiday here is the scenery, and we've made sure that the garden makes the most of it. The views from the pool area are gorgeous and if you want a little bit more peace and quiet, we've also created a hidden seating area tucked out of site just perfect for one or two!
Bedrooms & Bathrooms:
Importantly all three bedrooms at Villa La Cascade have en-suite bedrooms and there's also a seperate W.C. on the ground floor. All bedrooms have lovely fresh linen, beautiful furniture, pretty throws (and for cooler nights in the off season,nice fluffy duvets to complement the central heating if needed).
One of the ground floor bedrooms has a bath with shower enclosure en-suite whilst the other has a spacious shower. Upstairs the bedroom also has an en-suite with shower. We know that you want to be sure that when you book a villa holiday that you can be certain that you’ve made the right choice. Time and money are precious and it’s important to be confident that the facilities in your holiday home rental are what you would expect. We feel exactly the same and that’s why Villa La Cascade is so well laid out, furnished and equipped. The bedrooms and bathrooms are pretty and comfortable and as you’d expect at home- the fittings are of the highest quality.
