"Valentine's Hideaway"

Review Submitted: February 27, 2011 Date of Stay: February 2011
We arrived at the cottage on 12/02/11. The cottage was all we expected & more. Cosy, clean, comfortable & really well equipped. Parking outside was great. Where we live, we have to fight for parking every day !
The Miner's Arms was literally 2 minutes walk away & Anouska & her staff were very welcoming, friendly & efficient and the food was superb.
On Valentine's night we went to the Rose in Vale Hotel, approximately 10/15 minutes walk.
Again the food & surroundings were excellent.
St Agnes village, about one & a half miles away, had all the shops needed, more nice pubs & a very good Chinese restaurant.
Mithian village is an ideal base to explore the Atlantic coast & surrounding areas. We especially liked Truro ( lovely shops! Maybe I liked it more than Roger!)
We can't wait for our next visit.

Excellent location and accomodation

Review Submitted: September 6, 2010 Date of Stay: August 2010
We stayed at whitewalls last week and it was exactly as advertised. It was very central for travelling and the village and local pub were very friendly. Very comfortable accomodation and great value for money. We were very sorry to leave this idyllic village and would throughly recommend the cottage and location.

A glorious place- like visiting the past

Review Submitted: May 27, 2010 Date of Stay: May 2010
I stayed here for 5 nights with my boyfriend in May 2010 and we felt the cottage had been slightly undersold on the pictures- it was more spacious than we were expecting and nice and cool during the hot days. It's very unusual to stay in a cottage of this age and the cottage includes many books on the village which were really appreciated. The cottage also had a lot of leaflets about local attractions in it- so we went straight to the pub with them on arrival for 'planning'! The only thing we didn't like so much was parking where we could find a spot on the road, but it wasn't a big deal.
The pub (100metres away) is very friendly and we ate at the Rose & Vale Country house (walking distance, 5-10mins from the cottage) one night which was very memorable.
The organising and admin of the stay was dealt with very efficiently and it felt more homely than a lot of rental places. This place is highly recommended, it really feels like you are in the wilds of nature.
