Trawnish Lodge is a cedarwood cabin wrapped in the folds of the hills as they curve down to the shores of Lough McNean, in this unspoilt area of the Fermanagh lakeland. From the veranda there is a panaramic view looking across the lake to a protected nature park. The property has horses and alpacas and a path down to a beach on the lough-side.

Apart from visiting historic houses and sites the area is known as a fisherman's paradise with trout, salmon and coarse fishing in Lough McNean, Melvin and Erne. The Kingfisher trail and other paths wind over the hills and round lakes for walkers and cyclists. There are several golf courses, one on the far side of our lake. To add to these pleasures the scenic beaches of the Atlantic coast are only 40 minutes drive away. Live theatre in Sligo and Enniskillen. Water Park activity centre on the lake - kayaking, potholing and a water trampoline, caving, archery and climbing. Excellent restaurants in area and good shopping in Enniskillen.

  • Trawnish Lodge is bookable from Saturday to Saturday and we ask that guests arrive after 3pm and depart by 11am, to allow for thorough cleaning at change-over times. Dogs/pets should be carefully controlled as they are entirely the guests responsibility as we have ponies, alpacas and sheep on the property. Adults and children MUST wear life jackets when boating. The Lodge is closed from the end of September until the beginning of May in the new year.

The lodge is a delightful 'hill-billy' cedar-wood cabin. It is small and comfortable with two bedrooms, one with two bunks and one with a double bunk below and a single above. Ideal for a maximum of four people. The main room has an open grate fire, a settee, chairs and a dining table. The other rooms and bathroom lead off this area including the small kitchen. The large veranda looks out over the lake - the ideal place for meals and great chat (or "great craic", as the locals would say) with the superb view spread before you.
