Diamond Apartments are in an ideal location offering easy access, within just a few minutes walk to the beach. restaurants, bars and local shops and supermarkets.
The grounds are very well maintained by the caretaker , who always seemed to be busy doing something. We did however have an issue with the pool and 4 children on the site came down with ear infections within a couple of days of each other. This was however reported and extra measures taken with cleaning and checking the pool.
On arriving at the apartment we found it to be reasonably clean, however balcony handrails were very dusty, non slip bath mats needed scrubbing and shower wasn't as clean as it could have been..
The lounge and kitchen area, although perfectly adequate and in good condition is a little dated, and apart from a couple of paintings by the owner, it lacks personal touches to make it feel more homely and less minimalist. The apartment is well equipped with pans, crockery, cutlery and utensils. It lacked an airer which was listed on the inventory, we reported this and were told one would be delivered the following day, unfortunately it didn't arrive at all, but we managed with the retractable washing line.
The bedding was disappointing as the top sheets only came to the edge of the mattresses instead of draping over the sides. On the interim clean, thin, fleece throws were used tor replace the bedspreads, unfortunately they would barely cover a single bed, never mind the double and kingsize beds that they were used for. Luckily if we were chilly in the night we switched off the aircon to warm up, but although these are only small issues, they do affect your overall comfort. Also missing in the main bedroom is a backing curtain to keep the light out AT 5.30 IN THE MORNING!!!. The curtain rail is there, so could easily rectified. We ended up hanging a lightweight blanket there to keep daylight out.
We had no dealings with the owner, but found Russ & Matt from Apartfromtherest extremely helpful and very professional. The management company in Turkey (Orange), weren't.great
We had a fab holiday & would recommend properties on this complex, weImade friends with people & saw their apartments, some of which were lovely!
Best Eateries & Bars were Bella Mamma's Cafe Soul Brothers & Class Restaurant, best trips were Jeep Safari (great fun, a water gun is a must)i Blue Bay & 12 Island Boat Trip & Pammukale .No Luna Parks or Mini Golf for kids, Aqua Park not good.

Owner's Response: NB: Ltd 2500 characters: Thank you for your very honest review and bringing constructive criticisms to our attention. We take all feedback very seriously. Reassuring that despite a few minor things, had a "fab holiday" and liked the apartment and complex. Phew! If we/Orange/owner had heard of the issues earlier could have acted quicker, it’s very difficult to rectify afterwards. Swimming pool – Diamond has the best company maintaining the pool and have a separate contract agreeing specific chemicals. Comfortable this was a coincidence but are asking more questions around this observation. It is important that everyone showers before swimming. Clean – Our standards are simple, it has to be immaculate. The owners have reminded their management just in case. I know from personal experience due to the Calis breeze/summer dust that exterior rails can get dusty quickly. Minimalist interior – Pending availability we are fortunately able to offer a number of apartments with similar decor, all well finished. On every booking guests are shown photos of the apartments to decide which to book. We ask owners to try and keep them quite minimalist as decor is personal taste and don’t want it to feel like in someone else’s home. The owners are brilliant in ensuring at the beginning of each season things are tip top. Things can go missing/broken in the season but we/Orange/owner are reliant on guests to inform us quickly. Bedding – We’ve asked the owner to look in to this. In Turkey in the hot months, blankets are rarely used/needed. Instead an over sheet is used. In our literature we describe in detail and bold about air-conditioning usage and how it needs to be respected as very expensive. Orange – From chatting to your husband one of the main complaints was not replacing a light bulb that blew, likely just needed a reminder or let us know. Orange went well out of their way to try and find the cards that you thought you had left at the apartment. Whilst minimising disruption, to the new guests staying and were very attentive. It can be an daunting job to keep everyone one happy. I think comments come across as a little harsh but we will of course continue to monitor all companies/properties to ensure our very high standards, remain on every booking through us. We and owners apologise for not meeting your expectations and hope we get an opportunity to accommodate you again with a faultless experience.
