The upper Tiber Valley or 'Valtiberina' is a wonderful part of Italy still very unspoilt and very Italian. Umbria has an array of wonderful places to visit with towns such as Perugia and Citta di Castello, Assisi, Gubbio, and more wonderful hilltop villages and towns then you can possibly visit. Being right on the Tuscan Umbrian border it is ideally situated for exploring both of these areas. The upper Tiber Valley is historically quite a wealthy area and the towns are very well preserved and looked after. From May to November there is an array of festivals happening in the region, which is still very traditional and proud of its roots. During the spring and summer there are flower and music festivals taking place throughout the region, such as 'Umbria Jazz' in Perugia and 'Under the Tuscan Sun' in Cortona. In the autumn there are several festivals selling local produce such as wild boar, porcini mushrooms and truffles. This area offers a perfect balance between relax. and culture.

Additional information about rental rates

  • 1/3rd of the total amount to be paid when booking taken with the balance to be paid 60 days prior to arrival date. Security deposit of £250.00 taken with the balance, which will be returned at the end of your stay unless damage has been incurred. The deposit is usually returned approx. 7/10 days after stay via cheque or bank transfer. Payment may be arranged in either Sterling or Euros. Outside of peak season (July, August) it is also possible to rent the property for less than a week on a nightly basis. Prices for these periods are calculated on a per capita basis, depending on how many people occupy the property. Please contact the owner with regards to costs for these periods.
    Included in your payment is all linen and towels (changed once per week), a weekly clean, electricity and gas. During winter months heating will be added separately.

  • All the bathroom are private, that is each bedroom has its own bathroom. The bathrooms have all been given a lot of attention with beautiful tiles, very nice modern sanitary wear and very good quality fittings and excellent showers, the bathrooms are all of a good size and two of the bathrooms could even be called large.

  • Bedroom 1 with traditional wrought iron double bed, private roof terrace with sweeping views over the countryside and private modern bathroom with excellent large shower. Bedroom 2 with traditional wrought iron double bed, large private bathroom with good sized bath, and dressing area. Bedroom 3 with two single beds (can be double), large private bathroom with very good shower, french doors leading outside onto terrace above swimming pool. Bedroom 4 with two single beds en-suite with good shower and french doors leading outside. The Villa was completed last year and a lot of attention was diven to detail. Hence the Villa has been decorated in a combination of contemporary and traditional style using the traditional Umbrian beams, floor and roof tiling but with a modern kitchen and very up to date bathrooms. It is an exceptionally bright Villa making the most of the fantastic views of it elevated position, and with several terraces to enjoy these from.

Notes: Although the Villa is not advertised as having internet access, it is possible to check emails, etc. at the owner property which is very close by. There is internet available in the nearby Trestina and also in Citta di Castello and in Umbertide. Although the layout of the property is over several terraces most of the Villa can be easily accessed with a wheelchair.

Special Activities: - Organized cycling tours including luch stop can be arranged at request. - Should you wish to learn how to cook some of the local produce, cookery classes can be arranged at request. - If you like horseriding and would like to take some classes or go trecking through the countryside this may be arranged at request.

Others: - Babysitting may be arranged at request. - The owner of the property is a qualified Massage and Reflexology Therapist and treatment could be arranged at request.

Other Activities: Italian language courses, cooking classes, organized walking and cycling tours can all be arranged at request

Dear Richard and Christina. We've had a great time in your beautiful house!!! What an amazing view all the way to Petrelle and even further. We managed to see quite a bit from the lovely cities around Petrelle but almost had to drag the children from the pool because if it had been up to them we would have only seen the pool. Thank you so much for a lovely week and all the ideas (jazz in Perugia) we got. We definitely hope to come back"
