6 SaltPans is a recently constructed modern townhouse on the Portaferry harbour front, situated within a private courtyard development. From 325 GBP off peak for up to 5 people. The living and dining area is located on the first floor, so you can sit by the window and watch the ferry go by. The living area is tastefully decorated in a nautical style, which is open plan to the dining/kitchen area. The kitchen has a rayburn cooker, which also controls the oil heating. To compliment this there is also a small hob and microwave. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher and washing machine/dryer. There is a large table which seats six people. Downstairs, there are 3 bedrooms. A master bedroom has a king size bed and a shower room ensuite. There is also a television in this room. The 2nd bedroom is a twin bedroom and the 3rd a single room with a child's cabin bed suitable for a child aged 5 or above. There is also a modern bathroom with a bath.

Portaferry includes: The Exploris Aquarium, sealife centre and cafe in the centre of Portaferry is a great day out for the family. Ardminnan, 9 hole golf course overlooking the Irish Sea is only 5 minutes drive away. There is also the Kirkistown 18 hole golf course at Cloughey, about 15 minutes away. The Portaferry Sailing Club, and across the lough is also the Strangford sailing club. Both clubs are involved in a busy social and racing calender during the summer months. The Portaferry marine sports activities include a sub aqua club and local connections with the Queens Univeristy Marine laboratories.Ardminnan Equestrian Centre, Portaferry is family run stable and horse riding school with restaurant and bar, they will allow children to ride from the age of 4. There are a number of National trust walks and properties within the vicinity of both Portaferry and Strangford. Both Portaferry and Strangford boast award winning restaurants, renowned for their seafood specialities.

Fully equipped, the house easily accommodates four adults plus 1 child. All the bedrooms are situated on the ground floor. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and shower room en-suite. The second bedroom is a twin room and the third is single room which contains a cabin bed. There is a bathroom with bath and wc. On the first floor the bright spacious living room, overlooks the Strangford Lough, providing a view of the ferry crossing to Strangford. The dining area and luxury kitchen caters for up to six people. The house provides a useful base from which to explore County Down and appreciate the beauty of Strangford Lough and its surrounding area. Cloughey Beach is only 10 minutes drive away and The Mountains of Mourne are close by and equally accessible.
